👀In all seriousness, check out this picture pulled from the Guardian Electrical archives. This is one of the more creative (and dangerous) forms of ingress protection that we have seen over the years!
🤦♂️This temporary created a fire risk that could have easily resulted in long term damage to this clients’ site. Upon discovery, Guardian Inspectors were quick to report the risk with an Electrical Danger Notification (EDN) issued to the client.
📜 There are several BS 7671:2018 regulations that could be cited for this hazard. One example is Regulation 416.2 – Condition of enclosure in terms of IP ratings. Can you name any more?
