📸Today’s find is brought to you by Guardian inspector Jonathon Henderson, following the discovery of severe thermal damage to a submain supply which was identified whilst conducting a site survey at an International Airport✈️.
🕵🏻Due to the overheating and insulation breakdown, Jonathon was presented with a highly dangerous fire & safety risk, and therefore immediate action was taken by the client & maintenance team against this Code 1 find to isolate, repair & safely reinstate the affected circuit, whilst also ensuring minimal operational disruption and maintaining compliance with site safety standards.
📜Regulation 526.1 of BS 7671:2018, ‘requires every electrical connection to provide durable electrical continuity and adequate mechanical strength and protection’.
