🕵🏻This weeks’ discovery is brought to you by Guardians Fixed Kent Team who came across the following picture whilst carrying out a full site inspection and test at a clients’ site!
⚠️Not only is this board visually very old and rundown, but also the pictured busbar was found to be exposing live wires upon entry of the board, presenting our team with immediate risk of danger. Thankfully, no such risks such as contact with live parts, electric shock or worse electrocution occurred, and the client was made aware of its presence.
📜BS 7671 Regulation 416.2.1 — Protection against direct contact, states that ‘‘live parts shall be inside enclosures or behind barriers providing at least the degree of protection IPXXB or IP2X’.
