📸This weeks’ find has been brought to you by Guardians fixed inspector Will White who discovered the pictured distribution board whilst conducting a full inspection and test at a client’s site. This specific DB is the supply to a security hut.
🕵🏻Upon further inspection, it was identified that the neutral bar had melted due to a loose connection and the bar was still live, even after isolation! This is without mentioning the potential risk of fire as a result of the debris built up within the DB🔥
📜 In accordance with the BS7671, a C1 was issued –
⚡C1 – Danger Present – the safety of those using the installation is at risk, and it is recommended that a competent person undertakes the necessary remedial work immediately.
