For quite some time, there has been an unknown between BS7671 and other British safety standards. Duty holders can be placed at risk of non-compliance with EaWR 1989 due to panels being installed, modified, and replaced without any relevant documentation.
This is where a Panel Risk Assessment come in!

Panel Risk Assessments are also:
A way of ensuring that a Duty holder can ensure their workplaces are legal and safe according to EaWR Reg 4(1) & 2.
A simple, effective way of highlighting electrical risks as per the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regs 1999.
An effective audit of existing permit and authorisation to work systems.

Even with a full inspection and testing programme being undertaken, the scope of an EICR does not fully cross over to control equipment as per BS7671
