⛵The following find was discovered whilst conducting a site survey for a client of ours located close to the sea. As can be seen, the below isolator has various visual defects due to being located close to the sea, with corrosion causing a massive problem for electrical equipment located outside, thanks to the salty seawater!
👀Had this not been spotted by our inspectors then this would breach several regulations, one of which, Regulation 134.1.1 – Enclosure not damaged/deteriorated during installation to impair safety.
This was swiftly reported to the duty holder as unsatisfactory, with several none-compliances being associated with this one enclosure.
