⛵The following find was discovered whilst conducting a site survey for a client of ours located close to the sea. As can be seen, the below isolator has various visual defects due to being located close to the sea, with corrosion causing a massive problem for electrical equipment located outside, thanks to the salty seawater!
?Had this not been spotted by our inspectors then this would breach several regulations, one of which, Regulation 134.1.1 – Enclosure not damaged/deteriorated during installation to impair safety.
This was swiftly reported to the duty holder as unsatisfactory, with several none-compliances being associated with this one enclosure.
