👀Take a look at this shattered socket which was recently found by one of Guardians electrical inspectors during a site visit.
🤦🏻♂️Finds like this seem to be common whilst our electrical inspectors are out on-site, but that doesn’t make it any less dangerous!
🔥The hazards of a broken plug socket can be deadly and have the potential of causing shocks, burns and even fires at any given time therefore highlighting the importance of being aware of its presence.
📜Reg 416.2.1 states that; ‘live parts shall be inside enclosures or behind barriers providing at least the degree of protection IPXXB or IP2X’.
